At 11:00 a.m. on July 10, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of Nanle MetaSafe Energy Research Institute and the signing ceremony of the Advanced Energy (Iron-based Battery) Industrial Base Project, co-hosted by AGM Advanced Materials Group and the People's Government of Puyang City, was grandly held at Cangjie Laboratory in Nanle County, Henan Province. As the Group's strategic layout in the new energy sector, this event, themed "The Next Generation of Energy, Setting Sail Here", has gathered world-leading think tanks and industrial resources, marking that AGM's iron-based battery technology industrialization process has entered a critical stage.

Nanle Metasafe Energy Research Institute focuses on innovations in energy storage technologies, such as iron-based batteries, with the core mission of solving the urgent industry issue of energy storage safety. It deeply integrates domestic and international innovative resources, keeps an eye on the forefront of global science and technology, and builds an innovative ecosystem for advanced energy storage technologies.

 

Iron-based batteries are energy storage technologies with iron as the main active material. The main product types of Nanle Metasafe Energy Research Institute include 10Ah, 100Ah, 200Ah iron-nickel single batteries, iron-air batteries, etc. With advantages such as high safety, long cycle life, and low cost, they are being rapidly applied in scenarios such as power batteries, household/industrial and commercial energy storage, and long-term grid peak regulation, and are expected to become the mainstream choice in the future energy storage field.

At the event, guests including Zhu Liangcai, Mayor of Puyang City, Song Chengling, Vice Mayor of Puyang Municipal People's Government, Ma Shiguo, Secretary General of Puyang Municipal Government, Shao Ping, Secretary of Nanle County Party Committee, and Wei Zhifeng, Deputy Secretary of Nanle County Party Committee and County Magistrate, attended the ceremony.

 

Shao Ping, Secretary of Nanle Party Committee of Henan Province, stated at the ceremony that with the efforts of all parties, the Nanle Metasafe Energy Research Institute and the iron-based battery industry base project will surely become an "innovation engine" driving the industrial upgrading and development of Nanle County, contributing wisdom and strength to the development of new energy industry in the city and even the province.

 

 

 


Dr. He Hao, Dean of Nanle Metasafe Energy Research Institute, and other industry leaders form a think tank. Dr. He Hao stated that this will be an open and collaborative platform as well as a position to fulfill missions; in the future, they will join hands with global wisdom to accelerate technological iteration and large-scale production, bring "non-igniting and non-exploding" safe energy into thousands of households, and inject "iron-based" power into the new energy system.

 

 

 

 

Experts including Mr. Richard Chang, founder of SMIC and known as the "Godfather of China's Semiconductor Industry", Dr. Zhu Mingxing, and Dr. Qiu Longbin, provided professional insights from multiple dimensions for the global layout of AGM's iron-based battery project, with on-site ideological collisions highlighting the project's forward-looking nature in the international energy field.

The two core links of signing and unveiling pushed the event to a climax. At 11:40, guests and government leaders took the stage together, and as the red silk ribbon was uncovered, the plaque of "Metasafe Energy Research Institute" was officially revealed.

 

The establishment of Nanle Metasafe Energy Research Institute has laid a solid foundation for the 10GWh annual output iron-based battery project to be built by Advanced Materials Group. Currently, the demand in the energy storage market is growing rapidly, especially in the fields of long-duration energy storage, industrial and commercial energy storage, and power batteries, providing a broad market space for the project.

 

 

 


During the laboratory tour, the AGM technical team guided the guests to the lab in an orderly manner, showing them the institute's core scientific research equipment and innovative achievements. With Dr. He Hao's explanations, the guests engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on technological R&D directions, industrial application prospects, etc., gaining a thorough understanding of the institute's scientific research capabilities and development plans.
